The Australian Government is supporting a stronger, more efficient Migration Program and keeping Australians safe from cyber threats.

- Australia will admit 195,000 persons under the 2018-21 Migration Program, up from the current levels of 160,000 to combat skill shortages.
- The Australian Government has estimated a positive impact of $448 million over four years and will give an extra $36.1 million in funding for skills and jobs.
- The Department of Home Affairs is recruiting 500 people to help speed up processing time.
- The government will provide $6.2 over two years, starting in 2022-23 to fund outreach and communications, including international marketing campaigns to promote migration to Australia.
- In July 2023, the Pacific Engagement visa will be put in place for Pacific people looking to live permanently in Australia.
- The government committed to providing $20 million in funding over the next four years to support the Adult Migrant English Program
- The government is committed to helping migrants reach a high level of English proficiency that will enable them to fully participate in society and the economy.
- The Government will provide $2 million to assist in preventing a scam and $31.3 million as additional funding.
